mushroom swiss burgers.
I had been wanting one for about a week. I read several on line recipes then decided to make my own version. Here it is:
1- lb. lean ground meat (I used 93/7)
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp. Worchester powder (McCormick spice in a tin)
1/4 finely chopped onion
16 oz. pkg. whole mushrooms, divided
4 RF Swiss cheese slices
4 RF buns
Finely dice 1/4 pkg mushrooms and onion. (I used a small food processor to really get it fine)
To this add meat, garlic powder and worchester powder. Make into 4 paties and set aside.
Spray large non stick skillet with Pam. Slice remaining mushrooms and saute in pan. Do not crowd pan. Season with salt. Cook about 4 min. to brown on one side. TUrn and brown on other side. Remove to platter. Continue to cook remaining mushrooms.
I used my George Forman to cook 2 patties (mine is the small one). Cook until your degree of doneness.
Top with cooked mushrooms and 1 slice of cheese.
Sorry, I do not have NI but I did put it through the recipe builder. Great dinner!!!
